• | Very misleading article
|
| | Reading the comments from students, it is clear that none of them think that they are in lurch. So, I wonder, where the writer of the article got that feeling. Article got everyfact wrong and not only they put incomplete article on web as compared to print. In print version also they put the institute response on a back page. More over they seem to putting words in the mouth of MHRD. Here is what Minister of HRD had to say in Parliament: 1. Reply in parliament regarding Private Universities by Minister of Human Resource Development(MHRD): http://164.100.24.208/lsq14/quest.asp?qref=9557
(This includes DA-IICT as one of the Universities approved.) 2. http://164.100.24.208/ls/committeeR/Estimates/19.pdf - Report of Estimates Committee : 19th report of MHRD - dealing with AICTE
Here on page 80, it is stated :
Relationship between Universities and AICTE : Till recently, under the regulations notified by AICTE, Universities were also required to obtain approval of AICTE to run technical courses. However, the Supreme Court in its judgement dated 29.9.2001 in in the case of “Bharatidasan University Vs. AICTE” has ruled that Universities have the freedom to offer courses in technical .. |
| | I strongly feel, tht Now a days, newspapers are desperately looking for a story tht can gain them attention...
Being in a newspaper doesnt give Mr. Kamran the freedom to delude anyone..
Atleast editors shud verify before publishing such weird, baseless story, and abt. DA-IICTians NOT getting job, ask them, or look in any prestigious company...they are placed everywhere.....
So 1 suggestion: plz. do ur homework before submitting ur work.... Posted by: a DA-IICTian.., India, 10-04-2006 at 1155 hours IST |

• | Your article on DA-IICT dated 5 April
|
| | Sir, I hold IE in good esteem. I value your OP-ED pages for their qualitative content and informative articles. I admire your paper for taking up social causes by giving them place of prominence in your columns while others are selling sleaze and cheap page 3 stuff.
But the article on DA-IICT is a shocker. I do not want to believe that your correspondents too do not do their home work and depend on unreliable and uninformed sources. I suggest you take up the matter seriously with the AICTE for misleading you because your correspondent had quoted a source from there! Deemed Universities like the DA-IICT do not need AICTE approval. Strange are the ways of AICTE. There are technical institutes which do not have full complement of qualified faculty and adequate technical infratructure to run the institue. Yet such institutes are given recognition by AICTE because they are run by politically powerful groups.
By not extending recognition to institutes providing quality technical education like the DA-IICT, the AICTE is losing its relevance. Yours sincerely. Yegna Narayana Posted by: Yegna Narayana, India, 06-04-2006 at 1805 hours IST |

• | Pathetic
|
| | Well, Students 1. have gone abroad: UFL etc. 2. have entered so institutes like: NITIE, XLRI, IIT 3. IIM burnt its hand last time by not allowing the kids from DA-IICT to pass through in interview. Check this years brochure there is a *separate* entry for DA-IICT

• | DAIICT is Perfect Institute
|
| | I am really shocked looking at the article. My response to this article is that Go to DA-IICT campus, see the infrastructure provided to the students, Experience faculty etc and compare all this with any other AICTE approved college. So you will really feel the difference Posted by: Piyush , India, 06-04-2006 at 1546 hours IST |
