Chandigarh, September 13: ABVP activists today organised a mass rally on the Panjab University campus against the university administration for the shortage of water and electricity and poor quality of food in hostels, besides other hostel problems.

About 200 students started a procession from Arts Block I and covered the whole campus, carrying empty buckets. They also blocked the gate of VC Office for about an hour.

Gurparvez Singh Sandhu, presidential candidate of ABVP, said, ‘‘It is a serious matter and should be looked into at the earliest, failing which all the students will come on the roads for a protest.’’
