IT’S finally here. The two Gs that most fashionistas vie for are now available in as many shapes and sizes their hearts desire. Gucci, one of the biggest fashion and luxury labels of the world, is opening its well-wiped glass doors to Mumbai tomorrow.

Its first and flagship store in India is over 3,000 square feet of what was not so long ago The Palms café at the Hilton. Besides the canvas and leather goodies, we also love their new ready-to-wear line for both men and women.

The opening is a quiet affair, but the launch party takes place on October 13 when Mark Lee, president and CEO, will also be present. The fashion label is brought to India by the Murjani Group, which will soon be opening Jimmy Choo accessories and La Perla lingerie right next door. So that’s what they mean by keeping good company.
