MSU’s Faculty of Technology and Engineering will host a three-day annual fiesta, Paramarsh, beginning September 15. Around 23 colleges are expected to take part in the event which is being held at the faculty for the sixth consecutive year.
According to faculty authorities, this is the first time that colleges from other states will be coming down to the university for the event. Apart from engineering students from Gujarat, students from Pune, Jaipur and Bhopal have gotten themselves registered for Paramarshthis year, they said. Around 2,500 students are expected to take part in the event this year.
FTE Dean Professor Bhuvan Parekh said: “The event, organised by the students’ body, is aimed at developing interpersonal skills amongst participants through group events that focus on enhancing creativity, spontaneity and public speaking skills. It is also a platform to familiarise them with today’s industrial scenario.”
Group discussions, ads and short-film workshops, case studies, biz-mantra, quizzes and puzzles, mazes and even mock IIM interviews will be organised as part of the fest. There will also be
Media co-ordinator for Paramarsh, Arpit Saraiya said a treasure hunt will also be organised as part of the three-day fest, for which sponsors have been roped in. Participants of the treasure hunt will be provided with TVs Apache motorcycles with a driver for the course of the event. A fun fair will be held on September 16.
A talk show on MSU-Kal Aaj Aur Kalis scheduled to be held on the first day of the event. Former MSU office-bearers and educationists will take part in the show. There will also be performance by music bands for which two bands from Ahmedabad and one each from Vadodara and Pune have been roped in. They will take on each other on September 17.
