Tension brewed up at Member of Parliament Dara Singh’s son’s house at Sector 8 today, when his maternal uncle Gurratan Singh Aulakh went to the house to take possession of the ground floor of the house. Aulakh, who claimed to be having court orders regarding possession of the ground floor of the house reached Sector 8 house and locked the ground floor amid police presence.
“I went there with the court orders which were issued on August 22. I went and began locking the ground floor, when Amrita Randhawa objected to it. She created ruckus and called her lawyers and police too. I showed the court orders to the police personnel, who acknowledged it and gave me a go ahead,” Aulakh told Newsline.
According to the police personnel, Amrita Randhawa called the police and informed them that Aulakh had again trespassed to her house and was forcibly locking the ground floor of the house.
Heated arguments took place between Aulakh and Amrita Randhawa and both the parties called their advocates. Advocate Ranjan Lakhanpal, who is also representing Amrita’s case against her husband Amrik Singh and three others, who were arrested by the police on charges of trespassing and outraging modesty of Amrita Randhawa, reached the spot. He too was shown the same court orders.
While Aulakh locked the ground floor of the house, police personnel were deployed outside the house to prevent any untoward incident.
Amrik Singh and his three accomplices including his maternal uncle Gurratan Singh Aulakh and two friend were booked on charges of trespass and outraging modesty of Amrita Randhawa, when Amrik and his accomplices allegedly thrashed a ‘family friend’ of his wife, who was caught in her bedroom at 12.30 in the night.
