UT clears councillors’ foreign study tour

Chandigarh, September 11: The UT Administration has finally approved the proposal of Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh to allow its councillors to go on study tour of Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok. Mayor Harjinder Kaur today received communication from the administration. She said after preparing the programme the councilors will leave next week.

Mayor said administration has cleared the project and after preparing the details of programme of the study tour, the councilors will visit these countries.

She said corporation has already spoken to the authorities of the countries to be visited. “It will be a good experience for the councillors and they will get to learn a lot from this visit,” she added.

Over a month back the Municipal Corporation had submitted the proposal of councillor’s visit to Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok to the administration.
