Pune, September 10: Super efforts by Ashwin Bhide and Aditya Kaustubhan helped St. Mary's School beat St. Vincent's School, on their home ground, to lift the school basketball title. St. Mary's School won the summit clash 39-29 with Ashwin scoring 12 and Aditya 10 points.

Earlier in the semifinal, St. Mary's survived Loyola School's threat with four points separating the two teams. St. Mary's booked the final berth with a 38-34 victory.

In other semifinal, St. Vincent's School had a relatively easy outing as they scored exactly double the points of what their opponents, PES Modern English School did. They entered the final with a 38-19 comprehensive win.
