He said, “More and more cases of AIDS-affected people are being detected every day, and our society must be aware about this deadly disease. Prevention is better than cure, and misconceptions about sex education must be removed.”

Principal of the institute Gurdeep Kaur appreciated the information shared by Dr Chhina. She asked the teachers to have a scientific approach to life. She said that teachers must make efforts to ensure that the subject matter is attractive for the students.

Subject expert Dr Surbhi from Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital also interacted with the teachers. She gave an interesting lecture on how to promote dental awareness among students.

She told the teachers about the preventive measures and the need of dental hygiene for the younger generation. She explained to them the reasons for gum diseases, and also spoke about the right brushing techniques, the root canal treatment measures etc.

Dr Shashi Trehan, Science Seminar Coordinator, said that teachers have been assigned with project reports, based on action-research and content development.
