New Delhi, June 29: India’s first tri-fuel hybrid car, designed by 10 Amity was launched on Friday.
The sleek and glistening green and black car is a two-seater and has been designed by multiple fuel options — batteries, auto LPG and petrol. It can switch from one mode to another mode very easily.
It can run 80 to 90 km on batteries on a single charge. Maximum speed limit of this car is 50km/hr on batteries and 45 km/hr on engine. It has been tested for more than 400 km on Delhi roads. The car gives a mileage of 35 to 40 km per litre.
This car is presently in an elementary stage of its functioning and will be produced commercially with new enhancements and improvements.
Ten Amity School of Engineering and Technology students M Pawan, Abhay Goel, Himanshu Gupta, Abhishek Kashyap, Kamal Shamnani, Nakul Gupta, Chanderkant Suman, Varun Chawala, Paras Khanna, Udit Dhingra have designed the car with the support of faculty members Keshvendra Chaudhary, Prof S B L Garg and Arun Jindal. |
