Oration contest held at Green Grove School

Ludhiana, May 6: An oration contest was held at Green Grove Public School, Mohanpur, Khanna. It was presided over by S. George, the school principal.

The students delivered speeches on Indian and foreign leaders. Students of Classes V to X participated enthusiastically in the contest and left everyone spellbound by their performance.

Akansha of Class V delivered a speech on George Washington Bush. Hasrat of Class V represented herself as Dr Rajendra Prasad. The audience was inspired by the speech of Indira Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda, delivered by Baljot of Class VIII. The students delivered impressive speeches of Dalai Lama, Kiran Bedi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Navneet of Class IX represented herself as Rabindra Nath Tagore. The other participants who spoke well included Ashna, Sukhman, Navpreet and Tanveer of Class VI, Snehjot and Jasdeep of Class V, and Aashna of Class X. They delivered the speeches of various other great leaders.

The contest was appreciated by the parents of the students. The judges for the contest were Prajna Parmita Das and Dr Neeti Arora.

After the contest, the school principal presented certificates and books to the winners. The contest was compered by Mehakjot of Class XI and Sandeep of Class X. The results are as follows. Juniors (Class V & VI): Amritveer Kaur first, Baljot Kaur second.

Seniors (Class VII to X): Aastha Mehta first, Sukhneer Kaur second.
