“In the V-C’s report, nearly all the students, against whom the varsity had taken disciplinary action, will not get any respite from the V-C side. In the report being prepared, the V-C remains adamant on his stand regarding the disciplinary action taken against these students,” sources close to the V-C disclosed.

It may be mentioned here that over 40 students are facing disciplinary action for their alleged involvement in vitiating the campus atmosphere by indulging in campus violence. Nearly all the office-bearers of the Lucknow University Students’ Union (LUSU) are now facing disciplinary action.

“All the mischief mongers, who used to create a lot of nuisance on the campus, have now been ousted. With the recent disciplinary action, LU has made its point clear that the varsity would not tolerate anti-social elements on its campus. Students, who are supposed to have political affiliations, have also been suspended or expelled,” said a member of the Proctorial Board.

Meanwhile, LU on Friday announced the dates of viva examinations for MA II Sanskrit students. According to the official press-release issued by the varsity, the viva-voce examinations for Sanskrit MA-II students will take place on May 17 and 18.

LU has also announced the examination schedule for M.Com-I. The examinations will start from May 11 and conclude on May 23.
