Ludhiana, October 24: Green Grove School Mohanpur Khanna won national acclaim at the CBSE, national level science exhibition held at Gurgaon.
After securing a first position at the regional level, Sanpreet Singh and Harneet Kaur Hara of class X along with the incharge, physics department, Sanjay Katoch participated at the national level and received national honour for their model “Mobile Control electrical Appliances’’. 135 schools from the country took part in the event.
The model displayed by Green Grove Public School was the only model from the entire northern region that received the national award. The team was presented with a cash prize of Rs 3,000 and merit certificate by R.P. Sharma, education officer, Science.
HRD Union Minister Arjun Singh inaugurated the exhibition and chairman of CBSE, Ashok Ganguly presided over the show. Principal of the school, S. George congratulated the team.
The team comprising of Sanpreet Singh and Harneet Hara will be facilitated by the President of India A.P.J. Abdul Kalam next month at Pune, where all the 20 selected models from all over India will be displayed. |
