Ludhiana, August 28: The children of the inmates of Central Jail, Amritsar, under the sponsorship of ‘‘India Vision Foundation’’ visited the Kindergarten of Kundan Vidya Mandir (KVM), Civil Lines, Ludhiana.
It was an overwhelming gesture of love shown by the management and school authorities who opened their hearts to these children at a solo dance competition.
The principal, S.C. Saxena, and the incharge of K.G. section, Annu Sehra, welcomed Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, IPS honorary director, India Vision Foundation, and Snehpreet along with the children to the school.
The underprivileged children interacted with the children and teachers of KVM Civil Lines who shared with them the toys, books, furniture and colours etc. The gesture of love provided a new hope to these children whose future seems to be far from perfect.
A solo-dance competition of the tiny tots was also organised on the occasion. The children danced to the tunes of the songs from the classical era to the latest songs of film Fanaa. The judges, Bindiya Chowdhary and Shivani from Children’s Valley kindergarten alongwith J.P. Sharda, Namita Raj Singh, Sonia Verma and Kavita Wadhwa appreciated the programme.
They hoped that similar programmes will be organised in future also. |
