Combat power crisis with solar energy

Lucknow, August 14: Secretary, Non-Conventional Energy Development, Sanjay Bhusreddy has called upon the people and government departments to use solar energy to fight the power crisis in the state.

A press release from Information Department stated that there was privision of aid for those who wanted to install solar lights. One can get a financial aid of Rs 10,000 to install solar street light. Twenty five per cent of the total cost of Control System Solar street light is given as aid by the department. For traffic signals, RS 2.50 lakh. Similar facility is availble for domestic purposes, the releases stated. Light, fan and computer may be used for six hours with the help of solar module system.
