Iron-willed Mukesh shines in table tennis

Chandigarh, July 2: Undaunted by his handicapped Mukesh Kumar secured first position in the Asia Cup Table Tennis Tournament for the physically-challenged held at Malaysia from June 20 to 25.

According to information received here, Mukesh has represented India in other major international tournaments. He had earlier lead Indian team in the table tennis championship organised in Japan.

He also took part in the table tennis championship in France. In 2004, Mukesh got the first place in his age group in the tournament held in Belgium.

However, the spirited paddler is sad about the fact that he is getting little support from the government or other agencies connected to it in pursuance of his sport.
