Mumbai, February 8: ON MARCH 9 AT THE MAX MUELLER BHAVAN 6.30 PM NEVER MIND if you can’t fly across for one of Germany’s famed media and art festivals. You can catch one of the highlights right here, at art curator and new media expert Peter Zorn’s lecture, Common Property. The talk will be accompanied by a vibrant package of visuals put together by him. Zorn will unwrap some home-truths about the cultural scene in Germany, also touching upon some of the most prevalent trends. From video art to performance art, DJ acts to experimental films, here’s your chance to soak in all his gyan. Entry is open to all on a first-come-first-served basis.
ON TILL MARCH 13 AT THE JEHANGIR ART GALLERY FROM 10.30 AM TO 6.30 PM ARTIST Ranendra Patil’s latest body of work is still heavily inspired by one of the doyens of the abstract art movement, V S Gaitonde. Attempting to pitch his reds and blues on the same note as the maestro, Patil innovates with a few experiments of his own. Catch the lime green canvases and the two-toned orange-red varieties that he throws into his usual stock. |
