New Delhi, January 23: Rajdhani bomb hoax Hundreds of passengers had to be evacuated after a caller informed the railway authorities of a bomb on the Patna-bound Rajdhani Express. The train was detained for nearly two-and-a-half hours at the Ghaziabad station but the search revealed nothing. “We get around 2 to 3 calls every day like this,” said Davinder Singh Sandhu, CPRO of Northern Railway.
Tsunami aid The NK Bagrodia Public school of Dwarka has contributed Rs 1 lakh to the Indian Red Cross Society for relief material for tsunami victims. The S S Bagrodia Charitable Trust also contributed Rs 25,000 to the Indian Express Citizen’s Relief Fund. Students of Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan have seen off two truckloads of commodities on January 14 for Tamil Nadu Bhawan. The staff also contributed a day’s salary to the Prime Minister’s relief Fund.
Daughter hurt in attack An 11-year-old and her mother were injured when her step-father attacked them with a knife. Komal stayed with her mother and step-father, Vinod Verma in Kalkaji. Verma wanted to sell off the flat but Komal resisted as it belonged to her father. On Saturday, Verma attacked them when a fight broke out over the issue.
