On its annual day, DAV Ambala gets a pat from Guv

Ambala, December 9: Lauding the services of DAV institutions in the country and abroad in the field of education, Haryana governor Dr A.R. Kidwai said these institutions had been playing an important role in the educational history of the country. Over 700 DAVs were imparting education and training in the faculties of medicine, engineering. commerce, management computer technology, communication, arts etc.

Kidwai was speaking at the annual day function of the Riverside DAV Public School Ambala cantonment today. He said it was heartening that these DAV institutions were following the path shown by the great social reformer, educationist and Vedic scholar Swami Dayananda. He appreciated the efforts of Aman Aggarwal, whose projects on generation of electricity from plants and earthquake detection, had been accepted at the Indian Institute of Science.

Earlier, the school principal Punita Nehru in her annual report stated that the school, had plans to add a language laboratory and a sports academy during the next academic session. With a strength of over 1200 students, the school proposed to increase the number in the coming year.
